Hello dear reader, welcome to our Crochet And Me blog, we are going to create a beautiful crochet bee keychain. It’s a simple project and perfect for beginners. Let’s go!

Step 1: Required Materials
Yellow and black crochet yarn.
Crochet hook (appropriate size for the chosen yarn).
Filling (can be cotton or acrylic).
Safety eyes (or black buttons).
Scissors.
Tapestry needle.

Step 2: Preparation
Before you start, make sure you have all the materials on hand. Choose a comfortable, well-lit place to work.

Step 3: Bee’s Body
Make a slip knot in the yellow thread and place it on the needle.
Start by making a magic ring (or make 2 chains and work inside the first chain).
Make 6 double crochets (sc) in the magic ring.
Pull the tail to close the magic ring.

Continue making 2 sc in each stitch from the previous round. You will have a total of 12 bp.
Make another round of 1 sc in each stitch (12 sc again).
Now, fill the bee’s body with the stuffing.
Continue making 1 decrease (sc2 together) in each stitch. You will have 6 sc.
Close the body, cut the thread and tie.

Step 4: Bee Wings
With the yellow thread, make a chain of 6.
In the second chain from the hook, work 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet and 1 single crochet.
Turn the work and, in the same chain, repeat: 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet and 1 single crochet.
Cut the thread and leave a small tail for sewing.

Step 5: Head and Black Stripes
With the black thread, make a magic ring with 6 sc.
Close the magic ring and cut the thread.
Use the tapestry needle to sew the head onto the bee’s body.
Now, make 2 small black stripes on the bee’s body for the wings.
Use the tapestry needle to sew the wings to the body.

Step 6: Eyes and Mouth
Add safety eyes to the bee’s head (or sew on black buttons).
With the black thread, make a few stitches to create a smiling mouth.

Step 7: Finishing
Make sure all parts are securely sewn together.
Cut off any loose threads.
Add a key ring to the top of the bee’s head.

Step 8: Conclusion
Now you have an adorable crochet bee keychain! Use your creativity to customize colors and sizes. This is an awesome project to gift to friends and family or to decorate your bag. Have fun and keep exploring the magical world of crochet!
